We live in such a chaotic world that it's hard to take time to let our body AND our mind relax. From the long work hours, constant immersion of social media and phone communication, hustle of making meetings on time, constant travel, stress involved with trying to balance time with friends and family.....it never ends! I told myself this year I was going to take more time to relax - reading more, sleeping more, saying "no" to social plans when I know I need recovery, and just focusing on things that are the most important. Ever since my Mom introduced me to a diffuser, it has been exactly what I have needed to accomplish all of that and I want to share the benefits with you!
So about these essential oil diffusers.....no idea what I'm talking about? Well, they are strange orb-like things that sit either in your living room or on your bedroom nightstand that disperse certain scents through the air that you breathe in. You may have seen them at an office, at a friends house or even just heard about them through conversation and wanted to know more. What exactly do they do and what are the benefits of them? Well, I'm here to tell you! A life of balance and relaxation is only a few paragraphs away.
If you already own a diffuser, hoooppppefulllllly you didn't buy one without already knowing the benefits (because to me, that seems pointless), but if you did, it's all good. You made a great decision!
Diffusers are most regularly used for therapeutic purposes, but come to find out, they also have some amazing health benefits! When a diffuser releases a scent into the air and you inhale, your mucus membranes then take that scent, identify it, and send messages to your brain on how to react to that particular scent. There are many different scents that each have their own effects, and depending on your specific symptoms will help to dictate the type of scent you should be putting into the air.
I will be the first to tell you that these products are awesome! Diffusers are not only so calming to have on throughout the day, but they also have improved my life in so many ways. I've experienced better sleep patterns, better moods, improved focus on tasks and even a more stable state of mind. I run around like a crazy person pretty much everyday, so coming back to my diffuser always helps to keep my mind and body relaxed when I am preparing to unwind from the day.
Do you feel fatigued on a daily basis? Have trouble sleeping? Suffer from consistent allergic reactions? Have chronic migraine, headache or joint pain? Have difficulty focusing on everyday tasks?
